Viv Penfold
Viv is currently an Apostolic Elder on the leadership team at Stockport Centre Church near Manchester. In the early years Viv’s ministry was mostly in evangelism and church planting. The first church plant was in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria where he pastored for almost 10 years. During this time churches were planted out from there in Millom and Lancaster. Viv also served as the Director of Church Planting for Assemblies of God (AOG) North West Region for 10 years.
Viv champions and oversees Missionary Ventures work in India. He worked with D. B. Abraham for almost 20 years and in that time they saw over 700 churches planted. Together with Missionary Ventures GB, the New Life Bible College was established in Hyderabad and over 100 pastors and church planters were trained. There are now two Ministry Training Centres (Visak and Tirupathi) preparing young people for church planting and evangelism — especially amongst unreached tribal groups such as the Konda Dora and Yanadi. So far 60 couples and 24 young men have graduated and are engaged in full time ministry.
