Opportunities to serve
Uganda - Short Term Placement - 4-9 Months
We are looking for enthusiastic young people who would like to serve God for a short period in a beautiful area of East Africa. You would be working under the supervision of an experienced missionary and regional director, Nigel Harding, based in the capital city, Kampala but assigned to assist one of the indigenous Christian leaders that we partner with.
Flexibility is the key word as you could be called on to help in one or more aspects of the work including urban evangelism, outreach to street children, orphan and aids-victim care and more. You would also be expected to help in the organisation of teams that visit from the UK and USA. This is a great opportunity to gain a well rounded, properly mentored experience in an exciting and varied role.
Zambia - Short Term Placement - 9-12 Months
We have a well established Mission Base near the town of Sinazongwe on the banks of picturesque Lake Kariba. The work amongst the Tonga people is led by the Englebrechts, an amazing missionary family and you would be under their direct supervision. Key attributes are a servant heart, a willingness to learn, a respect of the culture and a flexible aproach. There are specific openings for the following:
- General Staff on the base - help with teams, children’s ministry etc
- Foundational-level Bible Teachers who can help with lectures at the Komena Christian Leadership School
- Qualified school teachers who can help model and train pre-primary school teachers and/or help to home-school the missionaries own teenage children
- Nursing staff who can help train first-aid workers
- People with practical skills such as Joinery, Plumbing and Motor Mechanics
