Longton Return
A team from Longton Community church, Preston, went to Uganda in August and had what appears to be an amazing time. Along with a host of other ministries the team undertook, the main thrust for the week was Children’s ministry in the local schools. This went down a treat.
Two of the leaders also held conferences with local teachers and pastors which were met with great favour and has had a wide reaching impact. This team really have caused a stir.
This is what Rex and Melinda Guynn, the field coordinators in Northern Uganda who the team were working with, had to say:
The Longton Team was great! The Teacher’s and Pastor’s Conferences were well received in both villages, and since the team has left, we have been getting calls everyday from other teachers and pastors asking for a conference. Pastors from all over Northern Uganda have been calling and asking us to come visit them. We should have invited more when the team were here!
The children’s ministry, women’s ministry, door-to-door and movie night were also really good events. All together, more than 400 people were born again during their visit!!
Wow! Thanks team.
